Mavera Episode 8 Review
In Mavera Episode 9, Ahmad begins a fight with Dubeys and asks him why he kidnapped an innocent girl. Dubeys says he wanted to scare the caliph. To prevent Asife from dying, Ahmad throws his sword to the ground and surrenders. Later, Ahmad’s friends also surrender. Dai finds the wooden sword in Ahmad’s shop and begins to wonder if the legend is true. Khwaja says he is not afraid of death. Dubeys says he will kill everyone he caught and orders Ahmad to be executed. Mahmud says he wanted to be executed before Ahmad. Dubeys accepts his offer and tells that Ahmad will watch his friends die. Saltuk shoots the executioner with an arrow in his hand and attacks Dubeys. Aytolu worries about Ahmad and begins to cry. Dai rushes to Dubeys’ headquarters and asks him to release Ahmad. Dubeys says he can’t free them, but Dai begins telling him the legend of the wooden sword.
Dai says this legend is true and that the almighty Sheikh will decide when Ahmad will die, but Dubeys does not believe him. Dai asks Dubeys to release both Ahmad and Asife. Ahmad takes Asife and returns to Baghdad. When Asife comes to the palace, she learns that her father is very sick. Ahmad then goes to the nomadic plain and tells that he saved the caliph’s daughter.
Aytolu gives her handkerchief back to Ahmad. Asife blames Atif for Dubeys’ attack. Atif says that he is innocent and works for the caliph. Leyla calls the servants who work in her house to the plain and asks them to bring clean clothes. One of Dubeys’ men goes to Baghdad and tells the priest that no more gunpowder will come to the city. Pehlivan apologizes to Leyla for what he said and asks her for the names of secret enemies, but cannot get an answer.
Ahmad returns to his shop and notices someone has sneaked inside. Dai crawls to a castle and is greeted by three people. Dai punishes himself for disturbing Sheikh and tells that the legend is starting to come true. Nejat explains why he did not kill Ahmad and explains everything to the members of the supreme council. Saltuk dresses like the crusaders and goes to their camp. The priest goes to Tarik’s shop and takes back the barrels he gave him. Saltuk asks the crusaders about the gunpowder, but some soldiers begin to suspect him. Asife goes to her father’s room and apologizes to him while he sleeps. Leyla tells Pehlivan that she does not tell secrets to protect everyone. Leyla asks Pehlivan to return to where he came from, but Pehlivan asks her why she lives in these bad conditions. Mervan begins to tell the dervishes there once again why he expelled Ahmad from the dervish lodge.
Some dervishes are uncomfortable with what Mervan says and leave the dervish lodge. Leyla realizes that Aytolu loves Ahmad and gives her advice. Dervishes left the lodge, go to the nomadic plain and start talking to Ahmad. The dervishes say that Hamadani sent Ahmad and they will listen to him from now on.
While trying to learn something from the crusaders, Saltuk sees the Baghdad priest coming to the camp. While Saltuk tries to get out of the camp, the soldiers catch him. Leyla sneaks back to the city and Dai catches her. Ahmad has a dream. Ahmad is in a well in his dream and asks Hamadani for help. Hamadani asks Ahmad to fight the devil. Ahmad then comes out of the well and wakes up. Ahmad then tells his friends why he made a wooden sword and what it means. Khwaja then tells what is written on the sword.
