Mavera Episode 22 Review
In Mavera Episode 23, Leyla goes to the nomadic plain and wants to thank Pehlivan for his poems, but Pehlivan treats her coldly. Leyla doesn’t understand anything from what Pehlivan says. Mahmud and Mansur continue to search for Shahsuvar in the market. Shahsuvar sneaks around Mervan’s place and kills his aide. Haje gives the medicine that Khutluk made to the people in the Sazlik neighborhood. Leyla tries to understand why Pehlivan behaves like that and talks to Aytolu about it. Leyla realizes that Atif learned the caliph’s place from Adnan. Pehlivan confesses to Haje that he told Leyla the place of the caliph. Haje understands how Atif found the place of the caliph. Leyla gets angry with Adnan for what he did. Adnan admits everything he does and says he loves Leyla. Meanwhile, Pehlivan tells Haje that he loves Leyla and apologizes to him. Ahmed asks him not to be ashamed and tells him a story. Adnan admits that he killed Mahbube. Leyla stabs Adnan many times with her dagger.
Some merchants tell Mahmud that they saw Shahsuvar and that Mervan provoked his followers against the caliph. Mansur immediately warns Haje. Shahsuvar says he wants to be a follower of Mervan. Mervan asks him to kiss his hand, but Shahsuvar takes him hostage quickly. Mahmud tries to stop Shahsuvar, but he kills Mervan. Mervan’s followers attack them, but Haje and Pehlivan help Mahmud. Crusaders bring a man to help Dubeys. The soldiers say that this man will make drawings for the conquest of Baghdad. Haje dresses Shahsuvar’s wounds. Shahsuvar says he will wait for death alone now and leaves the dervish lodge. The caliph’s soldiers say they could not find Atif in the city. This man, nicknamed Infidel, starts working day and night and starts making tools to be used in Baghdad’s siege. Atif tries to talk to this man, but he is afraid of the man. Atif tells Dubeys that this man is unreliable, but Dubeys asks him to be quiet. Sedat says that Shahsuvar killed Mervan.
Dubeys says he could change his plan due to Mervan’s unexpected death. Atif says he does not expect such a thing at all. Atif says that Infidel now has no other choice but to do the task quickly. Dubeys asks the infidel to work faster. Dai says that Mervan’s death was not surprised because all of Atif’s men were unreliable. Thanks to Khutluk’s medicine, most of the people in the Sazlik neighborhood recover. Haje comes in while talking to the patients from Aytolu. Haje thanks Aytolu for what she has done and tells her that he will take her to the plain. Pehlivan goes to Leyla’s house and finds Adnan’s lifeless body there. Haje and Aytolu have a long talk on the road. Mansur comes to the dervish lodge and sees that there is nobody there. Efkan says that Mahmud had a fight with Pehlivan. Mansur is very surprised by this. Dubeys summons Infidel and asks him to quickly craft the weapons. Infidel says the weapons are already ready.
Haje goes to the nomadic plain and starts telling a story about the Prophet to the people there. Haje then begins to say things about the Prophet’s wife and their relationship. Ahmed interrupts his speech and asks Leyla why she is upset. Leyla asks Haje for forgiveness and says that she did not behave well after what happened to her. Leyla wishes to have a decent life as Haje has told in his stories. Ahmed tells Leyla that what has been done will not go unpunished and that justice will one day be manifested for sure.
