Mavera Episode 1 Review
In Mavera Episode 2, Khwaja Ahmad Yasawi took three of his friends with him on the orders of Hamadani and set out for Baghdad. Ahmad sees a man and his children on the way. The man says his car broke down and Ahmad helps him. This man says he was trying to find the nomadic tribe near Baghdad. Meanwhile, some bandits attack. Ahmad sends his friend Mansur and the man. Ahmad kills the bandits. The leader of the bandits tells Ahmad to surrender or he will send all his men to capture Mansur. Ahmad shows Dubeys the paper he took from Hamadani. Dubeys says he always respects Hamadani and asks Yasawi what he will do in Baghdad. Ahmad says he will help the people in Baghdad and tell them about Allah. Before Yasawi leaves, Dubeys asks him to support him if a war breaks out. Yasawi says he will be fair no matter what happens and goes. Dubeys orders his two men to spy on Khwaja.
Mervan, the man in charge of the lodge, thinks about why Hamadani sent a man and worries about the future. Mervan tells them that they won’t wait quietly and that he will do something about the new man. Ahmad comes to Baghdad with his friends. Ahmad is shocked by what he saw in the city and says that he will treat the people here like a doctor treats the patient. Ahmad then goes to talk to the caliph first thing. Ahmad says that Dubeys attacked them and he will attack Baghdad soon. Atif, the vizier of the Caliph, says that he is aware of this and that Dubeys was a commander who worked for the caliph before. Mansur goes to the nomadic plain and starts to wait for Ahmad. Vizier Atif says that Dubeys’ strength will not be enough to take Baghdad. He tells Caliph Ahmad to ask him if he needs anything. After Ahmad leaves the room, Halifa asks Atif about Dubeys, but Atif says there is nothing to worry about.
Ahmad then goes to the derby in Baghdad. Mervan welcomes Ahmad and tells him that he can stay as long as he wants. Mervan later says that all Ahmad’s needs will be met by the lodge, but Ahmad disagrees. Ahmad says he is a carpenter and will soon start making wooden spoons. Ahmad goes to the nomads’ place that night and thanks them for helping Mansur. Ahmad stays there that night and chats with nomads. Mervan secretly meets with Atif and tells him that Khwaja might be a dangerous person. Atif asks Marwan to control Ahmad. While Suleiman, the spy sent by Dubeys, wanders around the city that night, Saltuk finds him. Suleiman tells Saltuk that he is assigned to track Khwaja Ahmad. The next day, Ahmad inspects the shops in the market and looks for a rental place.
Some traders try to help Ahmad. Ahmad finds a shop, but the rent for this shop is very high. Ahmad says he can’t afford that much money. Merchants offer to pay the rent instead of Ahmad, but Ahmad disagrees. Ahmad finds an old shop in the market, but the merchants ask him to stop. Merchants say that the owner of this shop is Kara Leyla and that the woman is doing immoral deeds in the city. Ahmad says that he will rent this shop. Leyla learns that Hamadani wants to rent her student’s shop. Ahmad starts fixing the shop.
Atif secretly goes to Leyla’s house and starts talking to Dai there. Atif says Khwaja is a dangerous person, but Dai does not believe him and does not care about Ahmad. Ahmad rescues a thief boy and helps him. Ahmad goes to the derby that night and tells him what to do in Baghdad. While Ahmad was praying that night, someone walks into his room with a knife in his hand.
