Mavera Episode 9 Review
In Mavera Episode 10, The Crusaders realize that Saltuk is lying and attack him. Saltuk kills the soldiers. Dai captures Leyla and says he made people in Baghdad not understand each other. Dai says he will not kill Leyla and will make a deal with her. Dai tells Leyla to go home immediately and then follow all his orders without question. The next day, Pehlivan learns that Leyla returned to Baghdad early. Ahmad and his friends start wandering around the market. Arslan Bab’s son, Mansur, thinks that he is not good enough, but Ahmad comforts him and tells him that he should write down everything that happened. Tarik says that the water he got from the church is not helping his son this time and he starts to wonder where the priest is secretly going. Pehlivan goes to the Sazlik district and starts cooking in the soup kitchen.
One of the dervishes goes to Tarik’s shop and tells him to talk to Ahmad. Tarik does not want to bother Khwaja first but agrees to do so for his son to recover. Tarik tells about his son’s situation to Ahmad. Ahmad sends Mansur to the plain and asks him to bring an ointment. Ahmad then goes to a library and starts studying the books there. Leyla begins to question the two people working at her home and tries to figure out who is talking to Dai from them. Khwaja finds a book by Ibn Sina and diagnoses Tarik’s son’s illness. Saltuk goes to Khwaja’s shop and asks where he is. Tarik takes his son and goes to the nomadic plain. Ahmad says he will cure the sickness in the boy’s eye. Saltuk and Mahmud go to the plain to talk to Ahmad.
Ahmad removes the fluid from the child’s eye using a needle. Tarik thanks to Khwaja. Dai asks Atif to use gunpowder. Tarik opens the bandage on his son’s face. Tarik’s son starts seeing again and he thanks Ahmad. Tarik thanks again and again to Khwaja. Saltuk asks Tarik where the priest is going. Tarik talks about the dust he saw in the barrels that the priest brought to his shop and tells that the priest went to Antioch. Saltuk says that what is in that barrel is not saffron, and even that this powder is explosive. Tarik says the priest had more than thirty barrels of gunpowder. Khwaja says so much gunpowder is enough to blow up all of Baghdad and starts searching for these barrels. When Ahmad can’t find these barrels in the market, he thinks they are in the palace and calls Asife to his shop. Ahmad says he wants to check the palace and asks Asife for help.
Saltuk asks Asife to find soldiers loyal to the caliph, but Asife says that there is no one she trusts in the palace. Ahmad plans to get someone into the palace. Mervan realizes that the number of people coming to the lodge is decreasing and he gets very angry. Mervan says he will scare people to come to the derby. Mahmud doesn’t want to go to the palace, but Ahmad asks him to do this task. Saltuk and Mahmud go to the palace as the loyal soldiers of Asife. Saltuk learns where the new soldiers cannot enter the palace and takes action. Mervan sends some bandits to attack one of the merchants who left the lodge earlier. Ahmad sees Efkan injured and realizes that Mervan did it. Saltuk and Ahmad go to the palace’s cellar. Saltuk realizes that the wall in the cellar has been newly built and takes out one of the stones in the wall. Khwaja goes to the lodge and gets angry with Mervan. Mervan denies all the charges and warns Ahmad for the last time. Mahmud finds the barrels full of gunpowder behind the wall. Mervan attacks Ahmad, but Khwaja injures him in the face.
